Excellent idea! Too bad I can't program. Maybe a port of tinyfugue or lptalk
would be in order.

Ditto.
I have a problem with not being able to set everything to 57,600 for my 14.4
modem. Windows seems to be lacking but I'm not ready to (re)install OS/2
again.

Subject: Help - WinVN Setup
I tried to get WinVN working because Trumpet doesn't let you attach files
to your postings. The cut & paste method is fine for small files, but the
clip board (or is it Trumpet?) drops most of the text on big files.
When I try to use WinVN, it complains my password was not accepted. I
have tried all different combinations. Sometimes it can't even get to
the mail server. And don't even talk to me about qwk :-( !!
Anyone out there using WinVN who can help me out?
Thanks in advance
Alex

Anyone who plays lots of MUD knows that colour is very important. The ability
to have hp light up red/green and blue (for levels of deadness) is mandatory.
Plus it would be nice if there could be a seperate line just for typing your
commands in. Standard telnets mix your line with everyone elses line. If you
could type your whole line in without getting garbled I would be most happy ;).
Also in your FTP client... how about allowing for wierd characters like spaces
and tabs. I occasionally log on to MAC sites and my current FTP client cannot
handle the "wierd" names used.

NetManage definitely was a major contributor to the original Winsock
spec. As to it being the origin; not true. The blocking API came from 4
or 5 places and the asynch stuff grew by common design over a 6
month period. If you don't believe me, go talk to Boris :-)
